NSỌ NSỌ NSỌ by Okoli Kingsley I — Lyrics
About NSỌ NSỌ NSỌ
"Nsọ Nsọ Nsọ" is a lively and rhythmic Igbo setting of the Sanctus, composed by Okoli Kingsley. Sung at the beginning of the Eucharistic Prayer, this piece captures the joyful reverence of the heavenly chorus. The arrangement is marked by a bright tempo and engaging choral textures, such as the staggered entries where the lower voices introduce "nke igwe" before the sopranos complete the phrase with "ndi agha."
The score is neatly structured into the traditional two parts of the acclamation. After the opening praises and a vibrant, repeating "Hossana" chorus, a designated second verse carries the Benedictus ("Ọ di ngọzi bu onye biara n'aha Onyenwe anyi"). Following this verse, the choir loops back to the jubilant Hossana, bringing the entire congregation into a unified moment of worship.
