Nso Nso Nso by FadaBarto (Fr. Bart. C. Ezeokafor) — Lyrics
About Nso Nso Nso
"Nso Nso Nso" is a majestic Igbo setting of the Sanctus, composed by Fr. Bart C. Ezeokafor (widely known as FadaBarto). In the Catholic Mass, this piece is sung just as the Eucharistic Prayer begins, calling the congregation to join the choirs of angels in their unending hymn of praise. The music captures that sense of divine awe, opening with a reverent, rhythmic declaration of God's holiness before expanding into a joyful acclamation.
The arrangement makes excellent use of call and response between the cantors and the full choir. While the cantors proclaim the Lord as the God of hosts and bless the one who comes in His name, the choir anchors the piece with soaring, layered harmonies in the "Hozana" refrain. It is a setting that brings a deep sense of reverence and celebration to the altar, lifting the voices of the faithful as they prepare for the consecration.
