About Duo Seraphim
Two Seraphim call to one another, proclaiming the holiness of the Lord God of Hosts, whose glory fills the entire earth. The text, drawn from Isaiah, then shifts to the witness of the Father, Word, and Holy Spirit, who are one. Leone Leoni’s Duo Seraphim is a sacred motet for two sopranos, setting this powerful biblical text in Latin. The intimate scoring for two voices allows for a direct and compelling presentation of the scriptural message, highlighting the profound theological statements with clarity and expressive beauty. This work offers a vivid musical setting of significant devotional text.
