Dextera Domini by Giovanni Concina — Lyrics
Dextera Domini fecit virtutem, dextera Domini exaltavit me.
Non moriar, sed vivam, et narrabo opera Domini.
About Dextera Domini
For Eastertide services, this motet by Giovanni Concina sets a powerful Latin text from the psalms, proclaiming the right hand of the Lord as the source of strength and exaltation. The soprano trio (SSA) delivers the message of overcoming death and proclaiming God's works. The music often reflects the triumphant nature of the text, providing a bright and uplifting moment within the liturgy. This setting offers a concise yet impactful musical statement suitable for services celebrating Christ's resurrection, its direct and affirmative text reinforcing the Easter message of new life and divine power.
