Full Lyrics
VERSE 1
You are a priest like Melchizedek of old.
You are ordained by God Almighty;
ordained that you may offer the Holy sacrifice;
ordained that you may forgive the sins of mankind.
REFRAIN
Father, behold your priest
whom You have called and chosen,
do not leave him alone.
VERSE 2
You are a priest like Melchizedek of old.
You are human but you are also special.
Our humanness must not overshadow God's glory
that shines out above the weakness of your nature.
VERSE 3
You are a priest like Melchizedek of old.
You have been raised to do what Angels can't do,
to change bread and wine into Christ's body and blood
and offer the sacrifice of Jesus himself.
