Full Lyrics
The Easter chimes are pealing
'Tis Easter Day,
Harm! the bells are ringing
In their sweet old way;
Hark! for they seem to say,
Swinging, swinging, swinging,
Hear, O earth, joyous lay,
Hear! 'tis Easter Day!
Christ the Lord is rise,
Saviour now is He,
Empty is the prison,
Liveth He for thee;
Hark! then the bells do say,
Swinging, swinging, swinging,
Hear, O earth, joyous lay,
Hear! 'tis Easter Day!
