Diffusa est gratia by Johann Baptist Hilber — Lyrics
Diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis:
propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum.
About Diffusa est gratia
Sing this graceful Latin motet during the Easter season or for a Marian feast day. Diffusa est gratia sets a biblical text, translating to 'Grace is poured into your lips, therefore God has blessed you for ever.' Johann Baptist Hilber composed this setting for two-part choir (soprano and bass), allowing for a clear and resonant presentation of the liturgical text. Its sacred nature and direct musical expression make it well-suited for services, offering a moment of contemplative beauty. The piece highlights the divine blessing bestowed, conveyed through straightforward yet effective choral writing.
