Diffusa est gratia by Francisco Valls — Lyrics
Diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis:
propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum.
About Diffusa est gratia
The composer Valls presents a devotional motet for two equal voices, sung in Latin. The text speaks of grace poured upon the lips, a divine blessing that will last for eternity. The two sopranos weave a close-knit contrapuntal texture, their lines intermingling in a devotional canon. This sacred polyphony creates an atmosphere of serene beauty, perfectly reflecting the theological sentiments of the text. It is a fine example of this genre, offering a clear and resonant musical setting of a deeply spiritual message.
