About DAALU NNA

"Daalu Nna" (Thank You, Father) is a vibrant Igbo praise motet that calls everyone to join the angels in exalting the Creator. From its opening lines, the song sets a joyous, communal tone, urging us not to be left out of the heavenly chorus ("Onyegbula soro mu kelee Chineke"). It is the kind of piece that brings a choir loft to life, full of rhythmic energy and deep gratitude for the great things God has done.

As the motet unfolds, it becomes a rich litany of praise, weaving through powerful traditional titles for God. The choir proclaims Him as the mighty warrior ("Dike n'agha"), the great river that carries away bridges ("Okemmiri na-ebu ogwe"), and the King of all kings. The arrangement beautifully uses call-and-response and expressive solo passages—like the soaring tenor and alto lines—to build a sense of awe and celebration.

Perfect for a festive Thanksgiving, a special choir presentation, or as a grand Recessional, this anthem leaves the congregation uplifted. It ends on a profound confession of faith, declaring that there is no one else in the world like Jesus ("Ọ dịghị onye dị n'ụwa ka Gị"), making it a deeply moving offering of worship.
