About Confitebor
Agostino Steffani was a distinguished composer and diplomat of the late Baroque era. This setting of Psalm 110 (Confitebor tibi, Domine) draws on the rich tradition of sacred Latin polyphony. Scored for two SATB choirs, it offers opportunities for spatialization and antiphonal effects, adding dramatic depth to the text. The psalm expresses profound gratitude and awe before God’s mighty works and enduring justice, praising his mercy and the faithfulness of his commandments.
