Ave verum

Louis Di Rocco's setting of the Ave verum text is a sacred motet for SATB choir. The Latin text, a well-known eucharistic text, meditates on the true body of Christ, born of the Virgin Mary, who suffered and was sacrificed for humanity. The flowing water and blood from his pierced side are recalled, imploring Jesus for mercy in the hour of death.
