Edisanna

"Edisanna" is a reverent and uplifting setting of the Sanctus in Efik, composed by S.S.S. Edoki. In the choir loft, this piece brings a profound sense of awe to the Eucharistic Prayer. The music beautifully captures the majesty of the heavenly chorus praising God, moving the congregation as they prepare for the consecration.

The arrangement uses a steady, larghetto tempo that allows the harmonies to unfold with dignity. The bass line introduces the majestic opening calls, with the upper voices responding and building the texture. When the choir reaches the "Hosanna ke ata enyong" (Hosanna in the highest), the overlapping parts create a joyous climax that lifts the church's worship toward the altar.
