NARA AJA ANYI (CONSECRATION)

"Nara Aja Anyi" is a deeply reverent Igbo offertory hymn that captures the very heart of the Eucharistic sacrifice. Arranged by Onwubuya Charles, the piece is specifically marked for the Consecration, guiding the congregation into a posture of surrender as the gifts of bread and wine are brought to the altar. The title translates to a plea for God to accept our sacrifice, setting a tone of humility and profound worship.

The arrangement uses a gentle, flowing Andante tempo to carry its earnest lyrics. In the verses, the choir sings of bringing the bread and wine ("Achịcha na mmanya k'anyị butelu gị"), asking the Father to transform them and bless the hearts of those offering them.
