Ecce nunc benedicite

This setting of a Latin text from the Psalms of Degrees (Psalms 120-134) would be appropriate for use in the Divine Office, perhaps during Vespers or Compline, as the text refers to 'the house of the Lord' and 'nights'. Cherici's SATB setting moves with a gentle but purposeful energy, the harmonies rich and devotional. The composer captures the spirit of the text which invites those who serve God to bless Him, whether they are in the sacred spaces of the temple or in the quiet of the night. The music offers a reflective and uplifting expression of praise and thanksgiving.
