About Ecce nunc benedicite
The text is a psalm setting, calling on the servants of the Lord to bless Him, especially those who serve in His house. The composer, František Tůma, has set these words of praise and adoration for SATB choir. The Latin text encourages those who stand in the courts of God’s house to lift their hands to the heavens in praise during the night, and to bless the Lord who made heaven and earth. This motet offers a moment of reflection and devotion, inviting the singers and listeners to join in a communal act of blessing and thanksgiving to the Almighty.
