YA DAN TUNKIYA (LAMB OF GOD)

"Ya Dan Tunkiya" is a reverent Hausa setting of the Agnus Dei, composed by Edwin N. Ambo. The title translates to "Lamb of God," and the piece is sung during the breaking of the bread, just before the congregation approaches the altar for Communion.

The lyrics follow the traditional invocation, asking Christ, who takes away the sins of the world ("Kai da kake kawar da zunuban duniya"), to have mercy on us ("Kayi mana jin kai") and finally to grant us peace ("Ka ba mu salama").
