PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

"Prayer of the Faithful" by Ezigwe Chidi offers two distinct, heartfelt Igbo responses for the intercessory prayers during Mass. Written in four-part solfa notation, these short choral pieces are designed to lead the congregation in lifting their petitions to God.

The first response, "Chee ntị nụrụ olu m," is a gentle plea for God to listen to the voices of His people when they call, asking the Father to answer with mercy. The second option, "Bịanụ O Chineke," carries a more urgent, inviting tone, calling on God to come down from heaven and hear the prayers of the church. Both settings provide a reverent anchor for the Prayer of the Faithful, allowing the choir and assembly to unite their intentions in song.
