NEW GLORIA IN IGALA OJIMA CHEI OJO

"Ojima Chei Ọjọ" is a vibrant Igala setting of the Gloria, composed by Isaac Omaye for the St. Igala Catholic Community. From the very first notes, the chorus establishes a joyful, rhythmic proclamation of "Glory to God in the highest" (Ojima chei Ọjọ ki da tatẹ). It is the kind of Mass part that immediately lifts the spirit of the congregation, inviting everyone to join in the festive praise that follows the Penitential Rite.

The verses carry the traditional text of the Gloria with a natural, speech-like flow in the Igala language. As the choir moves through the sections—praising, blessing, and adoring God the Father, before turning in petition to Christ the Lamb of God—the melody remains bright and engaging. The piece builds beautifully toward its final verse, culminating in a confident "Ami" (Amen) that affirms the glory of the Holy Trinity.
