About Gini Kam ga-enye Chukwu

"Gịnị Kam ga-enye Chukwu" is a vibrant Igbo offertory anthem that asks a profound question: what can we possibly give back to a God whose blessings fall on us like rain? Composed by Ezeogu Cassidy C., the piece captures the overwhelming sense of gratitude that fills the church during the presentation of gifts. The choir leads the congregation in acknowledging that God's goodness is simply too vast to measure.

The lyrics are rich with imagery of abundance and thanksgiving. The singers declare that even if their entire bodies were made of mouths, it still would not be enough to fully praise God for His deeds ("Ahụ m niile bụrụ sọ ọnụ ozughị iji kele Chukwu"). As the song progresses through its dynamic choral sections and soaring obligato lines, it becomes a joyous surrender. We bring our songs, our voices, and our offerings to the altar, trusting that the "Odogwu n'agha" (Mighty Warrior in battle) will accept our humble gifts.
