"Obasi Bi N'igwe" is a deeply reverent setting for the Prayer of the Faithful, offering a beautiful way for the congregation to lift their intercessions to God. Sung in Igbo, the title calls upon the "God who lives in heaven," setting a tone of absolute trust and submission. The words plead for God to hear and answer the prayers of His people, with phrases like "biko bịa zamo Chukwu" (please come and answer me, God) capturing the earnestness of a community at prayer.

What makes this arrangement particularly useful for the choir loft is its flexibility. The composer has provided three distinct responses of varying lengths and textures. A choir might use the first response for standard Sunday intercessions, while the second and third responses can be woven in when the prayers are longer or during special solemnities.
