MMADU NTU K'IBU

"Mmadụ Ntụ K'ịbụ" is a deeply reflective Igbo hymn that calls the congregation to remember their mortality. The title translates to "Man, you are dust," echoing the solemn words spoken during the imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday and at the graveside during burials. The lyrics draw on the biblical imagery of the grass of the field—fresh with morning dew and full of life, only to wither and fade by evening.
