K'ODIRICHI

"K'odirichi" is a profound Igbo prayer of surrender, beautifully capturing the heart's desire to yield completely to God's will. Azuine-Uche Bruno’s composition moves gently but with deep conviction, guiding the choir and congregation through a journey of repentance, cleansing, and ultimate submission. The melody carries a quiet reverence, making it a deeply moving piece for moments of personal reflection during the liturgy.

The text is particularly striking in how it weaves together personal offering and the traditional Eucharistic prayer of the Centurion. As the voices sing "Muo etosighim k'I bata n'obim" (Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter my heart), the song naturally finds its home during Communion. It is also highly fitting for the Offertory or times of consecration, as the final verse beautifully surrenders one's life, soul, and entire being for God to use as He pleases.
