About In convertendo Dominus
Agostino Steffani's In convertendo Dominus is a grand motet for double choir (SATB.SATB), suitable for services or concerts of sacred music. The Latin text, drawn from Psalm 126, speaks of God restoring the fortunes of Zion, filling the mouths of his people with joy and exultation. It vividly contrasts the sorrow of those who sow in tears with the jubilant harvest of those who return bearing sheaves.
