HOLY HOLY

This setting of the "Holy, Holy" brings the grandeur of classical oratorio into the choir loft. Adapted from the works of G.F. Handel and arranged by Asuquo-Uche Bruno, the piece provides a majestic choral response for the Sanctus. It is designed for four-part harmony, allowing choirs to lift their voices with the formal reverence that Handel’s melodies naturally inspire.

During the Mass, the Sanctus marks the moment the congregation joins the choirs of angels in praise, just before the Eucharistic Prayer. This arrangement captures that awe immediately with its broad, sustained opening chords on the word "Holy," before moving into a more rhythmic and triumphant declaration that heaven and earth are full of God's glory.

The transition into the refrain introduces a bright, soaring "Hosana in the highest," giving the soprano line a chance to ring out clearly over the supporting voices. When the choir reaches "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord," the music grounds itself again before returning to the joyful Hosanna. It is a fitting choice for feast days and solemnities, offering a structured, classical sound that elevates the liturgy and draws the faithful into deep worship.
