Jan Van der Wielen's Herders wat een soet gheluyt is a sacred Christmas motet for SSATB voices, set in Dutch. The text describes shepherds hearing a sweet sound in the field, sweeter than any instrument, and seeing a clear light. They then hear a voice telling them of a child born in Bethlehem who is both God and man, bringing great joy.
