"GLORY BE TO GOD." is a vibrant setting of the Gloria, the great hymn of praise sung near the beginning of the Mass. Romanus .D. Pius arranged this piece entirely in tonic sol-fa, giving choirs a straightforward, rhythmic way to lead the congregation in this ancient text. The refrain bursts with the joyful announcement of the angels at Bethlehem, setting a celebratory tone for Sunday worship and feast days.
