GLORY TO GOD.

"Glory to God" is a straightforward, joyful setting of the Gloria. When the priest intones the opening notes of the Gloria at Mass, the choir needs a response that instantly lifts the congregation's spirit. This handwritten solfa arrangement does exactly that, offering a bright, accessible melody that gets straight to the heart of the great hymn of praise.

The piece is built around a simple, recurring chorus—"Glory to God in the highest"—that makes it incredibly easy for the assembly to join in. Between these joyful refrains, the choir takes up the seven short verses, moving through the familiar text from praising the Father to calling upon the mercy of the Son. The call-and-response style keeps the momentum going, ensuring the energy never drops from the first verse down to the final doxology.

It is an ideal choice for Sunday Masses and festive celebrations where you want the whole church singing along. Because the verses are broken down into bite-sized, manageable lines, a cantor or a small schola can easily lead them while the rest of the choir bolsters the refrain. It is the kind of practical, uplifting music that finds a permanent home in a choir's repertoire.
