Gabriel angelus

This setting of Gabriel's Annunciation to Mary is by Elzear Genet, and is scored for ATTB voices. It is a sacred motet in Latin, suitable for use during Advent or the feast of the Annunciation. The composer paints the scene of the angel's greeting, bringing the familiar words of the Ave Maria to life with a rich, resonant texture. The four-part writing allows for a detailed exploration of the text, with the inner voices of tenor and bass providing a warm foundation for the alto and the angelic message.
