IHE OMIMI OMELA

"Ihe Omimi Omela" (A mystery has occurred) is a profound Igbo choral piece that bridges the sacrifice of Calvary with the sacrament of the Altar. The song opens by drawing the choir and congregation to look upon the cross, reflecting on the agony, the mocking, and the ultimate price Jesus paid for our sins. It asks a poignant question: what did He do to deserve such suffering?

From this somber meditation on the Passion, the piece blossoms into a reverent Communion hymn. The lyrics invite the faithful to approach the altar and partake in the "Achịcha nke ndụ" (Bread of Life).
