About Exaltata est
Stefano Felis's motet Exaltata est depicts the Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The text, in Latin, describes Mary being exalted above the choirs of angels to the heavenly kingdom, and her perpetual reign with Christ. This SSATTB setting offers rich, imitative possibilities for a full choir. It is a solemn and celebratory work, suitable for Marian feast days or occasions requiring a profound expression of faith. The polyphonic texture allows for a grand and sonorous rendering of the sacred text.
