Full Lyrics
VERSE 1
Christians to the Paschal victim
Offer your thankful praises!
VERSE 2
A lamb the sheep redeemeth:
Christ, who only is sinless,
reconcileth sinners to the father.
VERSE 3
Death and life have contended
In that combat stupendous:
The Prince of life who died, reigns immortal.
VERSE 4
Speak, Mary, declaring,
what thou sawest wayfaring.
VERSE 5
The tomb of Christ, who is living,
The glory of Jesus' resurrection;
VERSE 6
Bright angels attesting,
The shroud and napkins resting.
VERSE 7
Yes, Christ my hope is arisen;
To Galilee he goes before you.
VERSE 8
Christ indeed from death is risen,
our new life obtaining.
Have mercy victor king, ever reigning!
Amen. Alleluia!
