Domine Deus

Ramiro Real's motet Domine Deus is a setting of a sacred Latin text. Composed for SATB choir, the work draws on the rich tradition of motet composition. The opening lines, "Domine Deus tua est gloria! Magnificat anima mea, Domine Deus," immediately establish a tone of praise and adoration to God, as the soul magnifies the Lord. The subsequent invocation of "Deus Pater omnipotens, Domine Fili Unigenite, Agnus Dei" further develops this prayerful theme, addressing the Almighty Father, the only-begotten Son, and the Lamb of God. This piece offers a powerful opportunity for choral expression of profound theological concepts and devotional feeling.
