About Dobrořečte národové
This is a lively SATB setting of a Czech sacred text celebrating the Resurrection of Christ. The opening calls on all nations to praise the risen Lord, our sure salvation, with new songs and alleluias. The verses recount Christ's triumph over death: his body did not remain in the tomb, but on the third day he burst the bonds of death. Light emerged from the darkness of the grave, and the gates of heaven opened to him who in his terrible struggle demonstrated his humility and love. The composer, anonymous, has crafted a jubilant anthem that vividly expresses the joy and victory of Easter.
