Dialogo fra Giesù e l'Anima by Anonymous — Lyrics
Giesù ove ne vai,
che mostri tanti guai
aver nel core?
Ove me guid’amore.
Tu segui empio tiranno,
ch’ogn’hor con dolce inganno
a morte mena.
Mio desio non frena.

About Dialogo fra Giesù e l'Anima
This sacred dialogue, sung in Italian by SSA and AAT voices, presents a tender conversation between Jesus and the Soul. The Soul questions Jesus about his suffering, and Jesus explains that he is guided by love, even when it leads to death. The Soul then asks why Jesus cannot restrain his emotions, to which Jesus replies that he is free, but that his powerful love for humanity makes him willingly embrace suffering and even desire death for its sake. The music explores the profound mystery of divine love and sacrifice.
