Den store, hvide Flok vi se by Carl Nielsen — Lyrics
Den store, hvide Flok vi se,
som tusind Bjærge fuld af Sne,

og har sig toed
i Lammets Blod
til Himlens Helligdom,
dér holder de nu Kirkegang
med uophørlig Jubelklang

About Den store, hvide Flok vi se
This anthem by Carl Nielsen sets a Danish text celebrating the triumphant congregation of the redeemed. The words paint a vivid picture of the great, white flock, those who have come through tribulation and washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. They stand in glory before the throne, crowned, in priestly garments, their tears dried by God. The music is for SATB choir and its text expresses a sense of profound joy and eternal celebration, a heavenly feast where the Lamb himself is both host and guest. It is a powerful evocation of ultimate peace and vindication.
