About Concentu parili

This beautiful Latin sequence hymn, sung by an ATT choir, is a devotional poem to the Virgin Mary. The text speaks of the people honouring her with joyful voices and pious hearts, calling her the most holy, most pure, and fairest of virgins. It highlights her unique role as the inviolate mother of God made man, who cleanses humanity through his sacred blood, fulfilling God's promise to Abraham. The hymn also references Ezekiel's vision of the sealed gate, signifying Mary's perpetual virginity, and celebrates her joy at the infant Jesus's smile. It presents her as an example of humility for all, enabling us to approach God through her intercession and the sacrifice of her son.
