About EZEUDO
"Ezeudo" is a reverent Igbo hymn often sung by choirs during the presentation of gifts. The title addresses God as the King of Peace, setting a gentle and grateful tone as the congregation brings the fruits of the earth to the altar.
The verses draw directly from the imagery of the Eucharistic prayers. As the choir sings of holding the bread and wine, they ask God to accept their offering just as He accepted the ancient sacrifices of Abel and Melchizedek. It is a deeply fitting choice for the Offertory, grounding the parish in the biblical tradition of sacrifice while asking for the Lord's blessing on the gifts presented.
