"Chiebere - God of Mercy" is a deeply personal plea for divine compassion, composed by Chukwu Hycienth O. Originally written as a heartfelt birthday reflection—a moment to approach God with an open heart and ask for grace—the piece is marked to be sung during Communion. It captures that quiet, vulnerable space in the Mass where the faithful come forward to receive the Eucharist, bringing their own human frailties to the altar.

The lyrics are a moving prayer in Igbo, with the choir leading the congregation in a cry for forgiveness and guidance. From the opening chorus asking God to look upon their tears ("akwa m nebesara gi"), the verses walk through an honest confession of weakness ("Abum onye mehie") before asking for God's guiding hand to remove the darkness ("wepuru m'o itihie re").
