About Canticum Simeonis
This setting of the Nunc Dimittis by František Tůma is ideal for services of Evensong. The Latin text, a canticle of praise and thanksgiving, is here sung by an SATB choir. Tůma’s music sets the ancient words with a rich, devotional quality, reflecting the peace and profound spiritual insight of Simeon’s prophecy.
