Attende Domine

This sacred antiphon for SSSS voices is a powerful plea for mercy. The Latin text addresses God as King and Redeemer, lifting tearful eyes in supplication and acknowledging past sins. The verses enumerate Christ's roles as the Father's right hand, the cornerstone, the path to salvation, and the heavenly gate, asking Him to cleanse the stains of wrongdoing. The choir is invited to confess sins with a contrite heart, seeking forgiveness from the Redeemer's mercy. The text also recalls Christ's innocent suffering, condemnation by false witnesses, and his role in preserving those he redeemed.
