Ambulans Jesus

The words of this Gospel motet paint a vivid scene: Jesus walking by the Sea of Galilee, calling to Peter and Andrew, and inviting them to become fishers of men. Their immediate response, leaving their nets and boats to follow him, is a powerful moment of discipleship. The composer, anonymous, has set this Latin text for STTB choir, creating a devotional work that is direct and compelling. The four-part texture provides a rich foundation for the narrative, allowing the choir to explore the devotional and dramatic elements of this Gospel episode. This motet offers a profound meditation on faith and commitment.
