PRAISE TO THE LORD

"Praise to the Lord, the Almighty" is one of the most majestic gathering hymns sung in our parishes. With its sweeping melody and triumphant call to worship, it immediately lifts the congregation's spirit. Choir directors often choose this piece for the Entrance procession or as a joyful Recessional, especially on feast days and during seasons of high celebration.

The words invite everyone—choir and congregation alike—to bring their whole selves into the presence of God. As the verses progress, the hymn moves from a grand cosmic scale, praising the "King of creation," to deeply personal comfort, reminding us how God "shelters thee under His wings."
