Kyrie

"Kyrie" is a solemn and deeply felt setting of the Penitential Rite, sung in the Urhobo language. During the early moments of the Mass, the congregation and choir pause to acknowledge their need for God’s mercy. The repeated plea of "Orovwori na rue don" (Lord, have mercy) and "Ikristi na rue don" (Christ, have mercy) carries a sense of humble petition, grounding the worship in reverence before the Liturgy of the Word begins.
