Onyenweanyi, Mee Ebere

"Onyenweanyi, Mee Ebere" is a gentle, pleading setting of the Kyrie eleison, sung in Igbo. Written for a cantor and choir, the piece follows the traditional call-and-response structure of the Penitential Rite at the beginning of Mass. The cantor introduces each invocation—calling on the Lord and Christ for mercy—and the full choir answers, echoing the prayer.
