WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR BLESSING

"We Are Asking For Your Blessing" is a gentle, straightforward petition that gets right to the heart of why we gather to pray. Written by Nnakebe Michael-Dominic, this short choral piece is built on a single, earnest sentence: a humble request for God to hear our voices and grant us His grace.

In the choir loft, pieces like this are often the most moving to sing. There are no complicated theological arguments here, just the pure, unified voice of the congregation reaching out to the Lord. The four-part harmony moves together, giving the simple English words a sense of collective weight and sincerity.

A choir might use this as a prayerful introit, a quiet moment of reflection after communion, or during any service where a special blessing is sought. It reminds us that beneath all the grand hymns and festive anthems, our worship often comes down to this basic, human plea for God's presence and favor in our lives.
