LORD JESUS THINK ON ME

"Lord Jesus Think On Me" is a profound and deeply personal hymn of petition. The text is a humble plea for Christ’s guiding presence through the various trials of human life. From asking the Lord to "purge away my sin" to seeking comfort when "with many a care oppressed," the verses walk the congregation through a journey of repentance, spiritual warfare, and ultimate hope.

In the choir loft, this piece serves beautifully during seasons of reflection, particularly Lent, or as a quiet meditation after Communion. The steady, solemn progression of the verses allows the choir to lead the faithful in a sincere prayer for deliverance from "earth bound passions" and "the battle's strife." It is a hymn that resonates deeply because it speaks directly to our daily struggles, ending with the glorious anticipation of sharing in God's eternal joy.
