Lied: Einsam bin ich

A tender aria for solo soprano, Carl Maria von Weber’s Einsam bin ich is a beautiful example of German Lied. Ideal for a concert programme, the work sets a German text that speaks of love and longing. The singer contemplates a beloved image, finding solace and a deep connection despite a sense of distance. The music, penned by a master of romantic melody and drama, evokes both intimacy and a sweeping emotional landscape, making it a compelling choice for recital or staged performance where a poignant solo moment is desired.
