About Kyrie (O quam pulchra es)
This setting of the Kyrie is traditionally sung during the Mass. The text, sung in Greek, translates to Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy. Composer Francisco Garro sets this ancient plea for mercy for a four-part choir (SATB). The homophonic texture allows the solemn text to be clearly heard, offering a moment of reflection and supplication within the liturgical service.
