"Kyrie (Mass in C)" is a structured, reverent setting of the Penitential Rite, designed to lead the congregation into the solemnity of the Mass. Written entirely in solfa notation, the piece moves through distinct sections, alternating between full choir and smaller vocal groupings to build a sense of earnest petition.

The arrangement uses these shifts in voicing to reflect the changing focus of the prayer. It opens with the full weight of the choir crying out "Kyrie eleison," before softening into a delicate soprano and alto duet for the "Christe eleison." A soaring soprano solo later introduces a deeply personal moment of supplication, weaving the "Christe" and "Kyrie" together before the full choir returns for the final, grounded plea for mercy.

For a Catholic choir, this setting offers a fine balance of communal worship and choral expression.
