This anthem opens with the voices in close harmony, creating a sense of unity and shared purpose. The SATB writing is rich and devotional, supporting the English text which speaks of spiritual aspiration and dedication. The lyrics express a longing for divine connection, seeking to have one's heart stamped with God's image and filled with heavenly fire.
